Lottery Couple Buy Tom Jones Former Country Home

How could we forget Dave and Angela Dawes? Not only did they win more than €100,000,000 back in 2011, but they avoided the fabled ‘winners curse’ and are still together. Now they’ve made a house purchase, buying a house formerly owned by Tom Jones.

The £4,000,000 manor house was formerly co-owned by Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck, now it’s been snapped up to Dave and Angela Dawes, a fair change from the London apartment they bought when they first won the EuroMillions.

Back in 2011 the couple bought a luxury flat, 10 minutes walk from Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge ground. Last year they sold that flat and now they’ll be moving into this Grade-II listed manor house, set in sprawling grounds.

The two singers bought the sprawling home when their fame soared in the 1960s, using it to throw wild parties. The six bed home is full of character, although the party rooms Tom and Engelbert created are long gone.

With the news that Tom Jones has sold his Los Angeles home with hopes of moving back to the UK, we hope he didn’t set his sights on buying his old home back because he’s been pipped to the post by the EuroMillions winning couple!

It just goes to show, one lucky number selection and a pinch of good fortune, and you could be living the life of a global superstar. Seven years on, Dave and Angela Dawes seem to have a great attitude towards their win, using the cash to make positive life changes, but keeping everything else stable and settled.
