Two Share Massive EuroMillions Jackpot

After six consecutive rollovers the Friday night EuroMillions, the first draw of June, boasted a staggeringly huge jackpot. The top prize was estimated at €75,000,000 and came in just below that, and after no winner for six draws, two came along at once as two tickets sold matched all seven winning numbers in Friday’s draw.

The winning numbers drawn were 17, 18, 24, 29, and 40; joined by the Lucky Stars 4 and 5 and those numbers certainly proved lucky for two ticket holders as they’ll be sharing the monster jackpot.

The two winning tickets were sold in the continent; one in Spain and one in Portugal and the jackpot will be split in two between these two players. Neither ticket holder is reported to have yet come forward, but no doubt they will do in the next few days. However, as winners in Europe have a tendency to remain anonymous, we may never find out where this jackpot went.

This win also retains Spain’s place as the second luckiest EuroMillions country and allows it to creep closer to France who have held the top spot for years. This is the 86th EuroMillions winner for Spain, but France holds the top spot at just 87.

It’s the biggest jackpot since the Superdraw back in April, but shared two ways is a less sizeable sum. That said, this is a life changing prize for both players who will surely be thrilled at sharing this huge jackpot.

Interestingly there were no second tier winners in the draw, but match 5 players did collect a very generous €183,845.

So that’s another big jackpot won and two new millionaires for 2018. The next EuroMillions jackpot will be worth €17,000,000 and the next EuroMillions draw takes place on Tuesday evening.
