French Player Wins Second My Million Prize

The My Million is the French equivalent to the Millionaire Maker or Raffle draw we have here in the UK and accompanies the French EuroMillions draw but is for French players only. Just like our own raffle, winning is a once in a lifetime experience, but not for one lucky player.

The man from South East France won the €1,000,000 My Million prize back in November 2016. Despite the big win, he continued to play the EuroMillions lottery in France each week and last week he won the My Million prize again, making him a double winner.

Mathematicians say odds of winning the My Million once is around one in 19 million, but to win twice is around one in 16 trillion, making this unnamed winner very lucky indeed.

The winner bought his tickets at a newsagents in the Haute-Savoie region of South East France where the owner said he barely even reacted to winning the second €1,000,000 prize. He is reported as saying he intends to keep playing however, stating that he believes the old adage about good luck coming in threes.

Who knows what the future might hold but it’s the first time we’ve heard of any winner scooping the My Million prize twice.

The My Million is a smaller draw open only to French players that plays alongside the standard EuroMillions draw. It’s been running for less time than many of the side draws in various countries but has proved popular with players in France since its introduction. The draw gives French players an extra chance to win, and the country still remains the luckiest of all EuroMillions nations.
